MAIN RING ENTERTAINMENT

We are delighted to welcome the ROCKIN’ HORSE Productions Equestrian Stunt Team, lead by Guido Louis, who will present “The Show” at the 2012 Burwarton Show.   Guido and his team will entertain visitors with their fantastic trick riding skills which will be fast and furious.  This will be the first time the Rockin’ Horse team have visited Shropshire and we look forward to a most entertaining show. 

The Horse Shoe Making Competition organised by Andrew James, Farrier, first introduced in 2011, will continue with classes for (1) Apprentice shoemaking 1st and 2nd year, (2) Apprentice shoemaking 3rd and 4th year, (3) Registered Farriers shoemaking and (4) Therapeutic Shoemaking. 

The very popular Cookery Theatre which proved so successful this year will also continue in 2012.

Another first for 2012 will be the Knowles Dairy unique display of a vintage dairy which is both entertaining and educational.  Dating from the 1940′s to the 1960′s, the display provides an insight into how milk was produced and how the cow was milked right through to the bottling process.  Roger Knowles, a retired herdsman from Gloucestershire, will talk and demonstrate throughout the day.

Other attractions included a wide range of trade stands offering everything from agricultural machinery through to tools, clothing, footwear, garden equipment and much, much more.

The Bridgnorth Scarecrow Trail, organised by Melanie Holt of Nock Deighton in Bridgnorth with the aim of raising money for worthy causes  provided an additional fun and interactive attraction for all to enjoy last year and will be repeated in 2012.  Anyone interested in participating in the Scarecrow Trail should contact Melanie on m.holt@nockdeighton.co.uk .

Entertainment for the chidren throughout the day, including:

The Bell Inn Brass Band, Punch & Judy, The Jill Fielding Band, Magic Russ and the Itchy Feet Appalachian Step dance team.
