Livestock classes will be held in accordance with DEFRA regulations current on Show Day.

ALL prize money (except Junior classes) will be paid out by cheque or BACS
after the Show.

Please ensure you write your name and bank details clearly
on the entry forms to avoid payment delays.

Three Shires Cattle Trophy

This competition is cancelled for 2020 but will return in 2021

The Three Shires Cattle Trophy, in association with SELEKT, is a competition which gives farmers the chance to win a championship prize of £1000 and the coveted Three Shires Cattle Trophy.  Runners up will receive £350 and £150 respectively. Points towards the championship will be awarded at three premier agricultural shows.
The Dairy exhibitor with the highest number of points will receive £250 and the Mary Oughton Memorial Trophy.

Collect points at:

  • Hanbury Show on Saturday 4th July 2020
  • Burwarton Show – Thursday 6st August 2020
  • Moreton Show – Saturday 5th September 2020

Equine Influenza Vaccinations agreed and recommended by BEF

Equine Influenza and Tetanus vaccinations are a compulsory requirement for all horses attending the Burwarton Show.

The requirement for the first 3 vaccinations is as follows: the first 2 vaccinations 21 – 92 days apart, a third booster between 150-215 days, and an annual booster vaccination within 365 days thereafter. No horse should enter competitions within 7 days of an EI vaccination. Foals should commence vaccinations at 6 months old.

This rule may be subject to change on guidance from FEI/BEF and competitors are requested to check the website before entering.  Checks will be made on Show day.

This also applies to all Heavy Horse competitors.

THE HENRY YATES CEREAL SAMPLE COMPETITION – judged on Show day.

SHEARING COMPETITION – judged from 10.00 a.m. prompt – free class entry accepted from 9.30 a.m. in the Shearing Marquee. Show entry ticket will be refunded after completion of shearing. Classes for: Junior, Intermediate, Senior and Open.
